Abstract

The aim of research work: – to evaluate the effectiveness of different ergonomics training programs for children of 9-13 years old.
Methodology: 50 children, 9-13 years old, who were receiving treatment at Children hospital of physical medicine and rehabilitation’s department participated in the study. Study was carried out November 2010 – February 2012. Children were divided in two groups according as ergonomics training program. Duration of rehabilitation was 10-15 workdays. The efficiency of ergonomics training programs was evaluated by questionnaire. The statistical analysis of data was done using computer programs “SPSS for Windows 17.0”.
Conclusions:
Basic ergonomic activities of patients who had training by game therapy method, improved statistically reliably, this includes: picking up of objects, carrying, using PC mouse, keyboard, correct sitting, as well as wish to get more knowledge about ergonomics, use the knowledge at home, at school, to continue using and learning ergonomics by game therapy method.

Play therapy method allows us to learn more about the shortage of patient’s ergonomic knowledge, most actual and most problematical ergonomic positions, compared to verbal training. The mastering of ergonomic knowledge in group I improved from 7,0 (SD ± 0,71) to 7,7 (SD ± 0,61) , group II from 7,2 (SD± 0,82) to 9,2 (SD± 0,72) points.
