Abstract

The influence of tobacco smoke on changes of volumetric activities of radon and its short-lived decay products was investigated.
An increase of radon short-lived decay products atoms attached to aerosol particles was obtained during in smokefilled compartments. In this case larger volumetric activity of the alpha particles was registered. Therefore there is a higher possibility to inhale radon progeny and damage organism in the smoking premises.
Well as positive correlation coefficient between the radioactive equilibrium factor and aerosol particle concentration in the air of accommodations has been determined.
