Abstract

This systematic review aims to comprehensively analyze and synthesize existing literature on the connection between traumatic birth experiences and the development of Postpartum Stress Disorder (PTSD). We reviewed eleven relevant articles, each contributing unique insights into the complex relationship between childbirth trauma, post-traumatic stress symptoms, and subsequent postpartum mental health outcomes. The studies encompassed various methodologies, populations and time frames, offering a diverse perspective on this critical issue.
