Abstract

This article discusses legal and technical aspects of electric effect on human body. Electric effect on a living human being is analyzed by looking at the legal and electrotechnical aspects. Issues are examined on the basis of new scientific developments and international standards, taking into account safety requirements for electrotechnical products provided for in the European Union law. The article examines the regulation of the scope of health disorders and characteristics of heavy injuries in Lithuania. It also analyses the mechanism of electric effect on a human body and offers a set of conclusions. This article has been designed for experts of electrotechnics and medical science, as well as lawyers examining the causes of health injuries and death which include electric effect.
