Abstract
Summary
The goal of the study was to analyze medical law regulation of prenatal care in Lithuania. High level of prenatal care is important point of women‘s health care in general. Lithuanian medical low allows prenatal care of pregnant women to general practitioneers, obstetricians gynecologists an midwifes. Prenatal evidence based care should include women‘s preferences, continuity, flexibility, comprehensive and professional medical care.Clinicians should inquire regarding women‘s needs and modify care accordingly and also advocate for institutional changes that reduce barriers to care.
