Abstract

Summary
The work aims to investigate the time needed to provide help to STEMI patients and does the time spent correspond to the “Golden Hour” rule.
Material and methods:357 cases of acute myocardial infarction were selected from the VU hospital SK sickness archive to perform the retrospective analysis in order to confirm the latter relationship.
The results show that indeed there is a relationship between the time the first symptoms of acute myocardial infarction were noted and the PKI as well as number of deaths. Moreover, it was proven that the time needed to provide the emergency help to the patient does not correspond to the “golden hour” rule.
