Health professionals, advising their patients on family planning have to possess adequate knowledge to teach their patients about fertility awareness-based methods. The aim: to identify the situation of fertility awareness teaching in higher education institutions in Lithuania. Methods: Graduate and postgraduate study programmes (for obstetricians, obstetriacian-gynecologists, family doctors) were analyzed using the method of content analysis. Results: fertility awareness teaching is not properly integrated into study programs for health professionals.
