Abstract

Bone fractures in the area of elbow-joint are the most common fractures among children. During diagnostics of bone fractures in the area of elbow-joint, it is essential to make a complex evaluation of all possible symptoms: overstrain of the elbow-joint, position of bones in respect of each other, focuses of ossification. There were 486 patients treated for bone fractures in the area of elbow-joint in the Accident and Emergency Department of Children’s Hospital. Of these 34 patients were operated repeatedly. Bone fractures in the area of child’s elbow-joint and their diagnostics and surgical treatment are complicated. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis on time in order to avoid repeated operations, because the results not always are good.
