Abstract

Preoperative cardiovascular management is an essential component of overall perioperative period. The aim of the preoperative optimization of patients‘ state is to improve patients‘ outcomes and to avoid cardiovascular complications in the perioperative period. In the last number of the journal (‘Health Sciences‘, 2013; 23(6): 88-93), the most important aspects of the anaesthesiological care for patients with acute heart failure in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods in non cardial surgery were reviewed. In this article recommendations for preoperative medication optimization of patients‘ with acute heart failure are given.
