Abstract

Summary
The paper deals with the analysis of indices of human mortality causes in the EU member states. The analytical approximating functions, their parameters and the corresponding Pearson’s correlation coefficients varying between 0,907 and 0,998 (mean r = 0,976±0,042) have been found. An evolutionary 4th-order ordinary differential equation has been obtained, the proposed class of functions being its solutions. A correlation between the initial conditions of the evolutionary equation and parameters of the approximating function is determined. The possible further development of this model is briefly discussed.
